Lenormand is a tradition that dates back to the French card reader Marie Anne Lenormand (1772-1843). There are relatively few cards with single symbols in a Lenormand deck. On the other hand, several cards are used in a reading, and the combination and order of the cards thus gives a greater and deeper meaning.
